Ballintogher Tidy Towns established in 1990 – aims to keep Ballintogher village and surrounds looking well – enters the village in national Tidy Towns competition annually – work includes regular clean-up evenings, planting trees and shrubs, arranging talks in local schools and following up with anti-litter competitions. developing a nature trail/walking area, removing weeds and litter, developing composting areas, supporting local residents associations – consistent improvement in marks in Tidy Towns competition – 3rd place in County Sligo in 2108.
