AIB Community €1 Million Fund

The AIB Community €1 million Fund information evenings which will be held in AIB Sligo branch on Tuesday 20^th May 2025 at 6 o’clock and AIB Tubbercurry branch on Wednesday May 21^st also at 6 o’clock.

Grant details

The AIB Community €1 Million Fund enables customers, the public and our employees to support the local charities that matter most to them, within their region. The Fund supports charities across six regions in Ireland, Northern Ireland & Great Britain.

The 2025 AIB Community €1 Million Fund will open for nominations in mid-May and will close at the end of June. Please follow AIB social channels for all updates on timings.

This is open to most groups but there are some exclusions.

Nominations for the following organisations and projects are excluded:

1. Organisations that relate to religious or political activities
2. non-charitable activities
3. Animal charities where animals are the primary beneficiaries (Exceptions include projects that involve animals where the primary beneficiaries are individuals i.e., Autism assistance dogs or similar examples.)
4. Nominations that involve covering core costs such as rent, salaries etc, costs to cover trips abroad
5. Retrospective funding (work that has already taken place)
6. Nominations for projects with the purpose of promoting sport/ competitive sport

No same organisation will be eligible to receive funding for a period of three years following receipt of a grant of funding.

There is no specific focus, all groups cases are looked at on a case by case basis.

In each region, six customer & public nominated charities will receive €20,000 and AIB Employees can award six charities in region who will receive €6,000.
