Uisce Álainn: Celebrating Our Waters was a vibrant community event held in Sligo Town, inviting people of all ages to honour the beauty and importance of our local waterways.

The day began with the evocative Awakening the Dragon Ceremony, followed by the Flower Ceremony, both viewable from the banks of the Garavogue . Soon after, the river came alive with a water journey featuring dragon boats, kayakers, and rowers. On land, spectators enjoyed informative stands and a series of guided walks and talks exploring the natural and cultural significance of the river.
