ALONE provides and coordinates a number of services to support older people to age safely and securely in their own homes. Services that ALONE provides and coordinates include:
- Telephone support – provides telephone contact to an older person from a volunteer.
- Volunteer befriending & visitation – matches older people who would like additional social contact with volunteer who provide companionship through a weekly visit.
- Support coordination – provides support with issues such as bathroom adaptations, security and safety issues, filling and sourcing grant applications, finance issues, entitlements, access to health services etc.
- Assistive technology – technology devices in the home to promote independence and aid quality of life.
Referral forms (see below) can be sent directly to me at gerard.flannery@alone.ie or can be filled out online on ALONE.ie. Referrals are accepted from professionals, family members and the older person themselves.
